National Awards Scheme 1999
There are ten categories of entry:
- Best Country Publication - To include newsletter, Jubilee
publication, county finals programmes, AGM booklet.
- Best Annual Fixtures - information booklet.
- Cur chun chinn is fearr sa Gheailge in imeachtaí agus
foilseacháin Chumann na mBunscol sa chondae.
- Best Fan magazine (geared towards pupils).
- Best Football Development - assessment of how a county
currently caters for the football requirements (boys and girls) of its schools. To include
leagues, Mini Sevens, Inter area games, Skill awards, Small schools, Indoor games, Weak
games, and new initiatives.
- Best Hurling /Camogie Development - Assessment of how a
county currently caters for the the hurling/camogie needs of its schools. To include
activities pertaining to number 5.
- Best Coaching Initiative - How a county caters for the
coaching of its primary school players, training and the induction of teachers i.e.
foundation, level 1, female teacher seminars, input into FAS and full time coaching in the
county.
- Merit Award for Special Games Development Initiatives - This
category is open to provincial units as well as county units. This is for
special initiatives undertaken on any Cumann na mBunscol development.
- Best PR Award - To include current publications, all press
coverage, internal communications within county, radio coverage, photography.
- Overall Games Award: Games promotion, coaching and skill
awards, special initiatives.
