London Primary Schools Go Games Awards 2005
Minutes of Meeting 28th September 2006
1. Minutes of last meeting agreed.
2. Apologies for absence: Andy Higgins

3. Cork exchange dates agreed, Cork schools will come to London 27th – 30th April and return visit to Cork will be 8th – 11th June.
Proposed Exchange Partners:
Beaumont ( 30 boyss) - St Josephs & St Theresas.
Carrigaline (30 boys) – St Anselms
Sundays Wells(15 boys) – St Mary Mags
Glenville ( 20 boys) – tbc
Balencollig (20 boys) – St Georges
Johnny to give schools a deadline to commit to exchange programme.
4. Hurling Coaching – report from Johnny Wilson
Two schools have there own equipment (Annunciation & St. Josephs) & Tommy Horell will provide for Whitefriars.
Still a huge problem with lack of Equipment suggested that £300 from schools in the Gaelic Programme should be spent on Hurleys and Helmets. (Hannah to invoice schools). Order place for 30 Hurleys
Asked County Board to supply some equipment for schools , Larry to follow up.
Tournaments
Committee to provide Memorial plaque for each competition, schools should all try to get one sponsor each for 1 of the tournaments. Peter will keep a note of winners so that plaques can be returned
Hurling Tournament 12th October, GEC Ground – 10:30 start. Schools need 1 adult per team and need to bring 1 set of marker cones.
Football Tournament, 1st December, proposed location Orley Farm. Eileen to investigate St James Astroturf & Johnny to check Vale Farm as alternative venues.
Football Tournament 27th March – venue tbc, Astroturf suggested
International Tournament, 27th April, Larry to check Ruislip as a venue
Hurling Tournament, 10th July, Pellet Road

6. Coaching Day, 20th October - INSET by Pat O’Shea at Teacher Centre, all schools in Gaelic Programme should send representative (PLT day can be used) Paul to promote in Irish World.
7. 21st October, the Committee is hosting a Primary Schools Conference, at Ruislip GAA Ground, 10 – 3pm
8. Finances - Committee agreed a fee £300 for Pat O’Shea’s services.
9. Grant Applications – Pat to do Great Britain Fund, Tracey to do IYF.
10.First Aid – Pat has contacted St. Johns Ambulance to request help at Tournaments.
