Cumann na mBunscol O’Neill’s GAA Project 2004 

Congratulations to Villierstown School who won the national award in the Cumann na mBunscol / O’Neill’s GAA Project 2004. Villierstown School entered a project on “ Gaelic Games in Our School ”.  The school won a Set of Track-suits and €500 O’Neills Voucher. The presentation of prizes took place in Croke Park on Friday, 10th. December, 2004. The group of children involved in the project ( Ciara Scanlan, Brendan O’ Dwyer, Rosemary Hickey, Ryan Moloney and Kirsty O’ Donnell ) looked resplendent in their brand new track-suits. The track-suits also have two beautiful crests embroidered on the front of the jackets. One crest is the Scoilsport logo ( Cumann na mBunscol Logo ) and the second crest is the Villierstown N.S. crest.

 The format was as follows:

A visit to the GAA Museum

 @ 12.00 noon

 

Sit-down Lunch @ 13.00 hrs.

 

Presentation & Photos @ 14.00 hrs. in the Ash Suite

 

The prizes were presented by Pauline Britton of O’ Neills. Dave and Pauline Britton are the schools’ agents for O’ Neill’s gear and equipment.

This was the first year for the O’ Neill’s Awards for Primary Schools and another competition will take place next year. Details will be posted to Primary Schools and application forms etc. may be downloaded from the Cumann na mBunscol website  www.scoilsport.org from February onwards.

Below are details of National, Provincial and County Winners in category A & B. Category A was a project on one’s school for the Senior Classes and Category B was a colouring in competition for Junior Classes.
