125 Celebrations
Looking for ideas for Lá na Scoile, why not share your GAA Memories with the GAA Museum or try to win a school tour to Croke Park with a GAA Hero?
Walk the hallowed halls of Croker with a GAA Hero!
The GAA museum always offers something unique to those who visit it. It is more than just an archive of moments past - it also offers an interactive experience and never more so than this month when the Museum is offering schools the opportunity to get even more involved, with a chance to explore both the past and present with a GAA hero.
Schools are invited to submit a short story about their GAA hero by e-mail or in writing to explain why he or she should be their GAA museum tour guide. The winning submission will win a free guided tour for their class with a GAA hero.
Schools who are interested in taking part can submit their entries to: gaamuseum@crokepark.ie or in writing to Selina O'Regan, GAA Museum Education Officer, Croke Park Stadium, Dublin. Deadline for entry has been extended to April 27th.
GAA 125 Memory Wall
Do you have a special GAA memory you would like to share?
As you are all aware this year the GAA is celebrating its milestone 125th Anniversary. As part of the celebrations the GAA Museum is offering GAA fans, from all walks of life, an opportunity to share their GAA memories and put them on display on the GAA Museum 125 Memory Wall.
Why not spend a few minutes on the 24th April to have your class reflect on their special GAA moments, fill in a memory card and place it on the GAA Museum's 125 Memory Wall. Memory cards are available to download from the GAA museum website or alternatively cards can be posted out to your school on request. Please contact Selina O'Regan, GAA Museum Education Officer; Tel - 01 8192361 Email - soregan@crokepark.ie Web - www.gaa.ie/museum
